Fuel Recruitment volunteer for Age UK Warwickshire
A team of recruiters from our Midlands office swapped CVs for shears to help Age UK Warwickshire clear an overgrown patch of land.
1 ½ acres at Campion School nature reserve has been earmarked for use as a sanctuary for dementia sufferers and their carers, as well as a learning hub for children, but first it needs some green fingers and elbow grease!
The joint project between Age UK Warwickshire, Campion School and The Tree Council is being entirely led by volunteers, and we wanted to send some more helpers from the Leamington office to get involved and make a difference.
Fuel Recruitment MD Mark Esom said: “Since Fuel Recruitment was established in 2003 we have always supported local causes and charities. Every year we have raised funds by embarking on adventurous physical challenges, such as cycling Land’s End to John O’Groats or Kayaking from Birmingham to London, or alternatively sponsoring local causes such as netball and rugby clubs. But perhaps the most important thing we can give is our time. When we saw what Age UK are trying to achieve in the support of dementia care and child development we were keen to get involved.”
If you would like to donate some of your time on this or another local project, get in touch with the Age UK Warwickshire head office on 01926 458 100.
